One thing that has stood out that I haven't seen discussed is Rice creating some separation downfield against quality corners (we've seen him do this against Williams and Watson as well as against Conner). That's popped up in some clips.

If he can do that in game action, I don't think there's a tendency you can plan for.

Teams may come in thinking they're going to continue to dare Mahomes and company to beat them deep, but I can't see that lasting more than a few games. If the Ravens come out like that Week 1, with them trying to run McDonald's game plan from the 2nd half of the AFC title game, I think it's going to be a very, very ugly result. Like the 1st quarter of the Tampa Bay game in 2020.
My thought is always--who the hell are they going to cover.? I forget about Brown being there.

I think he's just extremely high adrenaline and he gets an extra shot of it when he has the ball. If you remember he had a few drops from trying to take off running a split second before the ball arrived.

I would expect teams to play shell again like they did 2021 and 2022.

After a while when you earn their respect, they would talk to you like a buddy. The trauma endured for years was heart breaking. And it was told matter of factly.

I had 3 of those heroes go home and commit suicide after our shift. If some of the toughest harden men in the nation can have PTSD a civilian can.

But if we can prove the deep threat is back, then it's over for the rest of the league.
Hopefully the ravens will dare us to go deep. And we will. Over and over

I would love the Chiefs to blow up the ravens in that first game.

He can do it, but it's going to be tight, and the odds are against him. After Rice, Hollywood, Worthy, Watson, you've got:

Hardman
Toney
Ross
Skyy
Remigio

Those guys are basically fighting for 2, maaaaybe 3 spots. The Chiefs seem damn determined to make Toney work, Hardman is a vet they trust (and I believe we get the 4-year vet discount on his contract?) and Dave Toub really freakin loves Remigio. And I didn't even talk about Washington, who might be the best kick returner of the entire group.

Ross DID play STs last year, so he's definitely in the mix, but he's going to have to make it 100% obvious that he's one of the more reliable WRs on the team, not just flashy.

That’s why Rice and Wiley are going to rape. Teams will be adamant to not give up the deep ball with cover 2/3 and they’ll put their best cover defender on Kelce leaving a big opportunity for those 2

Rice, Hollywood, Worthy, Watson, you've got:

5. Hardman
6. Toney
If they keep 7 - Remigio

Practice squad
Ross
