Zayne Anderson?

Just figured I'd give this guy his own thread, since Devon Key got one.

Key, as you know, is an UDFA who the Chiefs promoted as they got increasingly meh with Thornhill, to be the Chiefs 3rd safety in dime packages. He got rave reviews in camp, does look pretty good...

...then kind of farts out in the preseason game, including giving up an 80 yard TD.

This week, so far, the Chiefs have grounded Key on the 2nd team, and promoted ((((you guessed it)))) Zayne Anderson to the 3rd safety for the team's dime packages.

I imagine we'll see it on Friday night.

Anybody know anything about him?

He sucked, but at least he was running around. Some of the guys on defense were just standing around or getting run over all day.

The issue here isn’t athletic ability…..heck, anyone posting on this thread could have bulldozed the punter (albeit a hair slower than Zayne Anderson)

The real issue is brains: up to that point, the D got one three and out, to which our Offense went on a 17 play 91 yd TD drive, to which the response is another Donko three and out…..somewhere, somehow, anyone with a little common sense would be thinking “let’s play clean here, give the ball back to the best player on earth, and go grab some oxygen on the sideline (or crawl back under my rock until the next punt)…..

Dumbfounding to me…..

He's had a couple bad breaks which just came from being aggressive. He'll settle down and be the stud we hoped we were getting. I mean ,yeah, technically he cost us the Bengals game and well, yeah , the #1 seed and a chance to rest our starters where Kelce and Hill are both now injured but, he just needs a chance.

I hope his parents read www.Chiefsplanet.com so I can let them know that I am not satisfied with his play on the football field for the Kansas City Chiefs (my favorite professional football team).

His parents can't read. How else would you go about naming your child Zayne?

You've been worked on, and THIS FORUM is complicit.

Talk badly about a player and "blame" it on being black?

uh huh, that'd go over reaaaaally well.
