The Motorcycle Discussion Thread
I figure there are some motorcycle guys/gals on CP, so I thought we could have a place to talk all things Motorcycles.
Tire Mount and Balance Prices (as of 10/29/16) Prices based on if you remove the wheels yourself and bring the wheels and new tires with you: Cycle Gear - $35 per wheel if you buy tires from them. $58 per wheel if you buy tires elsewhere Rawhide - $65 per wheel (assuming it would be the same at other HD dealers. they book it at 1/2 hr per wheel) C R Cycle Tires (DeSoto) - $30 per wheel Cheapest I've found my Michelin Commander II's. Seem like they have good prices on other brands too. http://www.jakewilson.com - Free 3 day shipping on orders over $75 Last edited by Dayze; 10-29-2016 at 09:02 PM.. |

Hell yea we need to meet up. I'm always down to ride with fellow-CPers. Rode with Zeke and his wife to a bike night a while back. |

I hate riding at night. Its like having your senses taken away from you. Usually I am looking all over the place, but when its dark then all you have is what is in front of you.
Plus the Deer...oh man that shit scares me. Never Ride at dusk in Iowa. |

My buddy a couple years ago bought leather pants at the rally just to wear back to camp. I had left mine at camp cause it was a perfect day. Then sunset came.....

yep; that and the MF bugs. I can ride around town at night, but anything outside of town, I'm a bit leary.

Wow... I just about bit it this morning on my ride into work. A deer ran out in front of me, a little fawn, still had it's spots. I was able to get slowed down and just miss it. I'm pretty sure, my front tire hit it's tail..
Ride safely guys and gals. |

I put about 300 miles on the hooligan bike yesterday.
Great ride overall but definitely does not have the suspension of my superbikes. I still rode a little harder than I anticipated~ Now that I have got the dust knocked off now its time to modify. levers and mirrors in the mail, going to pull the header off tomorrow and paint it, paint the motor, rearsets etc. |
