Looking at Omaha, if they need another starter before Lynch is ready, I think Austin Cox is the only real option at the moment.

Alec Marsh would probably be next in line if they believe they’ve solved his command issues.

They're running an "opener" approach tomorrow, which I'm fine with. I'm not sure this bullpen is really built to sustain that over time (you really do need to build your bullpen intentionally for it).

If they were looking inside the org for a "next arm up," that's where Cox and Marsh could come in.

Cox has a pretty good curveball but not a lot else. There are a lot of areas where you could question/critique Dayton Moore's pitching scouting and development pipeline, but one of the bigger ones was an obsession with the curveball.
