The Motorcycle Discussion Thread
I figure there are some motorcycle guys/gals on CP, so I thought we could have a place to talk all things Motorcycles.
Tire Mount and Balance Prices (as of 10/29/16) Prices based on if you remove the wheels yourself and bring the wheels and new tires with you: Cycle Gear - $35 per wheel if you buy tires from them. $58 per wheel if you buy tires elsewhere Rawhide - $65 per wheel (assuming it would be the same at other HD dealers. they book it at 1/2 hr per wheel) C R Cycle Tires (DeSoto) - $30 per wheel Cheapest I've found my Michelin Commander II's. Seem like they have good prices on other brands too. http://www.jakewilson.com - Free 3 day shipping on orders over $75 Last edited by Dayze; 10-29-2016 at 09:02 PM.. |

Our hotel came complete with its' own cooler
Caught in the rain. One of probably 4 buildings with the same amount of bikes parked. I totally should've bouht this. Next door to the hotel. Home of the catchy name and worst chicken fried steak i've ever had. and, warm keg beer. mmmm Dayze on the ferry. note Dayze's awesome sun burned hands. Saw two prospects get patched in to their club. after throwing them into the pool, they surprised them by giving them their club patch.Dude climbing out of the pool and the guy in the green. then they threw them in again lol. This was about midnight when th pool was 'closed' lol another ferry pic Dayze with the "WTF" pose; weather guy "30% chance of sattered thunder storms. we defied the odds! our rain shelter; thankfull we found it about a 1/2 mile after it started pouring. Hard to tell, but as the pavement was drying out, there was tons of steam coming off of the road. First time I've ever seen a 'breakfast shuttle' that took you to the continental breakfast buffet lol. though, th buffett was only about 100yds away. Last edited by Dayze; 06-25-2014 at 09:33 AM.. |

it sounded and lookd good after a day of riding. but man....took about 15 minutes to a beer, and another 30 minutes to get our food. my brother's chicken fried steak was good; mine was nothing but the chewy grissle stuff. impossible to eat. probably 1/2 of it was like that. fries were good though lol

the one with the all the bikes lined up; that was the view from our room; the rally was about 100yds from our room (on the other side of the cars), and the live bands you could hear perfectly, nice and loud. there were a ton of people just sitting out on the 'balcony' with their chairs and coolers of beer just listening to tunes.

once we got to the other side of the lake, we threw our shirts into the water, then put them back on to ride. you'll note the pic of my on the ferry, the bike company's logo is correctly placed on the front. the "WTF" rain picture is actually of my shirt on backwards....unbeknownst to me until we got back to the room . oops. I have RIDDEN the new 675 Daytona's for a couple thousand miles, but never actually owned one. I used to compare it to the sound of an f1 car. I am going to pick up the bike tomorrow in CoMo. Pics below. The headlight that's on it in pics is no longer there, I have plans in the work already for new levers, bar end mirrors, black exhaust wrap, painting the engine black, and putting a new front fender on it. After that, ill try and see if I can score a cheap belly pan for it as well. Should be in for somewhere around 650 bucks and some elbow grease, which includes sales tax. |

Hey Dayze, have you gone to Bikes Blues and BBQ in Fayetteville before? Its a great rally with lots of roads to ride. Gotta love those Arkansas back roads.
