A downtown stadium is a permanent 30 year asset that generates revenue year over year while netting likely little to no tax impact to the owner. And the common fan who doesn’t really give a shit will lap it up. 3-5 year rentals don’t mean a thing unless you have a great 2-3 year run like we had 14-16. Small market owners aren’t going to take a chance on FAs unless they know the current core has a good chance. The core in place right now is mostly garbage by MLB Champ standards. Going to need a few of the young pitchers to show and obviously Witt Jr, Melendez, Pratto, Vinnie P, etc to become mainstays of the lineup. Then you take your chance.

MLB stadium’s ranked:
https://www.popularmechanics.com/adv...adiums-ranked/ 6. Kansas City Royals: Kauffman Stadium One of only two modernist designs in MLB, the Kivett & Myers-built Kauffman Stadium really shouldn’t be in the upper echelons of MLB rankings—but it is. Located just outside of downtown, the stadium opened in 1973 and is still perfect for tailgate-happy Kansas City. The concrete structure lies hidden beneath seats, the upper deck strikes the proper steepness balance, and the outfield is marked by plaza seating and gorgeous cascading fountains. So the Royals sent one of those fan survey deals to us. I was more than willing to answer but wasn't happy that they, as is so often the case, didn't offer any "open text" opportunity. We know what that means, nobody's really listening, it's just a computer making bar charts.

He's been an AAAA player his whole career. At least Matheny pinch hit for him in the 9th, which blew the game open. Merrifield finally shows up, and look what happens. If we can just get some basic reasonable production from Salvy, Dozier and Taylor, we might win a few games. Also, need to send BooBitch down to Omaha and bring Singer back up. BooBitch needs to work out his issues. He looks fat and slow on the mound.
