****2018-2019 Official NBA Regular season thread****

Didn't see anybody starting this thread so I guess I will.

Anti climatic season starts tonight and my prediction is GS vs Boston in the NBA Finals.

First 2 Games tonight on TNT with Philly vs Boston and OKC vs GS. Westbrook is out tonight so that game will be a blowout most likely.

Draymond just dominating. Haven’t seen this version of him in a few seasons

Well we've kind of seen it the last few games since Durant's injury. He's clearly still an elite defender.

That would be Bill Self's strategy. Basically, if they make them they make them. Oh well.

In game 1, Stotts' actual strategy seemed to be for his bigs to not come up/hedge on the screens. It was probably the dumbest way to defend the Warriors I've ever seen. They've changed it up in the following two games and have also basically stopped playing Kanter this game (who is essentially unplayable against their offense).

Maybe lebron should stop forcing his GMs to get shitty players and coaches? Maybe more FAs would come to his teams if he had committed to more than 1+1 contracts in Cleveland? Maybe that would help the team play better without him. Just a thought.

LeBron is the only player who "everybody would love to play with him" yet somehow always ends up with shitty teams.

I expect the issue there is that LeBron has never went to join another top 3 player in basketball/3 other all-stars as Durant did.

Agreed. It seems like that is more because they haven't needed him to do it. Has been by far the best player in this game.

Maybe he should have if he wanted to win. But clearly he doesn't as his Lakers contract shows. Durant wants to win. LeBron wants to make movies.

Portland's defense is laughable whenever the Warriors feel like exerting themselves even moderately. The Western Conference wasn't any good this year outside of two teams.

LeBron is secure with his legacy at this point, Durant isn't. That's the difference.

Makes it all the more pathetic that the LeBron led Lakers couldn't even make the playoffs
