It looks like a possibility. If Dozier is the hitter he was last year, it will transform the lineup a lot and the team would be quite a bit better. The “bullpen” games are really hurting them, too. They’ve been competitive in the other games. |

This is pretty-much a throw-away year for the MLB anyway, so why not unabashedly and unapologetically make a play for for the #1 draft pick?
And playing your #1 catcher at 1st base on his day off (instead of just as a DH, and give an benched infielder that job) is a pretty clear sign to the rest of the league that you're placing dibs on the #1 pick. Either that or we have some much more serious issues than any of us can imagine. |

Buster Posey played a lot of games at 1B for World Series winners, for example. Think it just comes down to Perez being a better defender at 1B than Soler is in RF. |

I've always been an Alex Gordon fan. But, I think it might be time for him to retire. In a year where the GM is bringing up young guys to see what they got, it might be time to bring up a young left handed outfielder to replace Gordon. Just the guys scheduled for MLB debut in 2020 or 2021;
Kyle Isbel, ETA 2021 Khalil Lee, ETA 2020 Michael Gigliotti, ETA 2021 Nick Heath is already on the active roster but has only had one AB. All four of these guys bat LH. |

Question for Duncan or anyone else that can answer. Is there anywhere a person can read reports from the alternate training site? Are they playing games there every day?
