NFL Week 1 Sunday Games

First week of the season! The Chiefs already took care of business so it’s strictly evaluation and entertainment for Sunday.

What games are you most looking forward to? Game picks? Upsets?

Alex Smith had the ability to make that throw once a game. Goff can maybe do it 2.5x per game. Mahomes can do it 6-8x per game.

It's hard to have perspective when you're subjected to such riches.
Right.

Like it’s easy to say guys like Goff, Tannehill, etc etc aren’t anything special and it’s true, but it’s not like the Mahomes and Wilson’s of the world grow on trees.

If you wanna subscribe to the philosophy that teams should only keep replacing QBs until they do finally hit that lottery, fine, but I also think that’s tough when you’re dealing with real people and not chess pieces. That’s why I said before the 2017 draft that the Chiefs should focus on drafting the QB with the most upside, nothing less.

It’s tough to let Tannehill or Goff walk out of the door after really deep playoff runs, even if you know deep down that you’ll probably never get back.

With a new staff even.

Maybe that explains it, or maybe they just are overrated.

Now that’s one where I’m drawing the line if I’m Jerry.

Dak still hasn’t ever made a deep playoff run, and it’s approaching Kirk Cousins territory where there’s some bad blood brewing. Or they pay him WAY more than he’s worth up in Mahomes territory.

I’d let him walk.

Absolutely

Tannehill was actually really good last year in that system. Just couldn’t keep up with Mahomes.
