The worst part is how the refs call games like that.

Instead of calling it tighter on the team intentionally muddying up the game, they tend to call more ticky tack fouls on the cleaner team to keep it even.

If the refs would simply enforce their own rules with an emphasis on the offending team, that type of strategy wouldn’t work.

Unfortunately, it basically creates a foul shooting contest and gives both teams an even chance to win. That is the best that many teams can hope for. A clean game favors the good team.

KU men’s basketball officially signs three recruits; more from signing day/
