The Chiefs need to acquire their next star WR and LT of the future in this draft.

To the victor goes the spoils....

How damn fortunate we are to have a draft class like this, the year we need WRs and a LT of the future, despite picking at 32.

After this combine has unfolded, I'm convinced that Veach and Andy need to be aggressive about going and getting their guys at WR and LT.

Trade up twice if you have to. Flip all your damn later picks if you have to.

It is incredibly rare to have an opportunity to solidify two cornerstone positions like LT and WR in a single draft class picking from the Super Bowl champions slot. But, this is what the Chiefs are working with this year.

So, who do you want KC to grab if/when Veach does try to proactively make this happen?

Oh please this! I’m all aboard the McConkey train, his comps are almost identical to Garrett Wilson. He can stretch the field. Rice is our possession receiver but can also have an insane YAC! Mooney would just be a cherry on top, remember he did have a 1000 yard season a few years ago…

Again, it wasn't a criticism, Chris. It was just an observation, one brought up by several others during the season before I ever did.

But it isn't irrelevant either. A WR that can't consistently win on his own merits is going to be limited; and we've had too many of those in the very recent past, and the offense has struggled because of it. Hopefully, Rice will advance his game above that limited level; I believe he's on his way in that regard. But again, I'm not going to sugarcoat my opinions either.

Have a nice day.
Not sure I earned the snark, but whatever.

Reid's offense always has a ton of what you could call 'manufactured touches'. A TON. That doesn't mean a player CAN'T just run a route and get open. Andy loves his gadget stuff and screens and whatnot. I see no reason for pause, especially as the season went on and Rice did more out in the pattern.

Reality is that if you take the second half of the season as your base and double it, you're looking at a 1300 or so WR. That's a pretty good WR in any offense.

What snark? What part of my post sounded snarky? Thought I went out of my way to be polite/congenial, tbh.

Love this kid !! Total baller and a real football player !!! This kid reminds me of a taller, quicker and faster version of Renfrow.

Yep, he has that Welker/Edelmann/Renfrow intense sneaky nastiness to get it done. He fits in perfectly with our offensive game. An actual awesome/elite route possession receiver with actual speed and quickness to ball out. He is football tough and definitely loves the game.

Nah, not even close. Rice is a heckuva a lot more "football tough" than BA. BA is very soft when the going gets tough against tough defenses. He seems to be always banged up with injuries that aren't that serious that most guys who are "football tough" would play through the pain.

Isn’t Andy Reid really big on arm length with OTs?

Mims and Paul both had 36+ arms.

They both ran pretty well today too, but it looked like Mims pulled a hammy on his second run.

With a Sneed trade, we should be in great shape to draft a good OT and a good WR by the end of day two, probably a long with another position, too. It's going to be a fun draft, I think.

Horny at the idea of more picks. Sad about no Sneed.
