That was my home airport for about 38 years of my life and yes, it's been a dump my whole life. It sucks and massive corruption on the work there.

So on top of the fact of having to walk nearly a mile to get to the gate in the new Southwest terminal 5, no restaurants or bars are open and all they have are crappy vending machines or shit premade garbage in plastic wrap.

To kick it up a notch of complete shittiness, the ****ing construction crew is jackhammering the floor and cutting rebar about 50 ft from me.

I can't get out of here fast enough.

Son has a hockey tournament in South Bend beginning of December and I'm trying to decide if I should fly to O'Hare or Midway out of Phoenix. Any suggestions, seems Midway is a little closer to South Bend but never been to Midway, always O'Hare.

Midway 100x out of 100

Only time you should fly into Ohare is if you plan on catching the train into the city and don't need a car

And you're going to drive right by Midway from Ohare anyway so unless there's a significant cost difference, you're choice is clear

Agreed. Midway is a lot easier to navigate, at least if you have a connection. I've mostly used Chicago as a connection point, so I don't know about parking and ground transportation.

Sky Harbor is fine, especially for how busy it is. They make driving around it easy too. I can pick up someone curb side and drive around the other side to get out without any stop and go traffic. I say that's pretty impressive.

Coincidentally headed into Phoenix today from KC. First time I've been in the new MCI and while I still prefer the old style just because of how easy it was getting in this time wasn't bad at all. Took 20 minutes from being dropped off to being through TSA. Maybe I just got lucky and that's not the norm.

Sitting at the airport getting ready for a 5:15am flight to Norfolk VA via Nashville TN.

Nice and quiet but no bars open until after I leave.

There is a young blonde woman, 26-32 my guess, on this flight with white short cowgirl boots, a very tight pair of blue stretchy shorts on, a sports bra and tank top to hold up her well proportioned rack. If there is a seat next to her when we board I'm jumping in.

Total smokeshow!
