McCaffrey gets new deal averaging $19 million

These deals this off-season have been nuts. Insane that he is higher up than Kelce in AAV

You realize this is a business anyway, right? Only one team will win it all each year. You’ve still gotta give fans a reason to put their asses in the seats and tune in each week.

Purdy may not be the answer but I feel like they’re playing the position as well as could be hoped. They brought in the veteran guy, almost won with him, realized he wasn’t the long-term solution, drafted the QBotf, realized he wasn’t the guy, shipped him off, then started Mr Irrelevant over the incumbent veteran when they realized he could play.
....except that Lynch passed on Mahomes and that ABSOLUTELY should tarnish his career. It's literally the difference in winning ZERO AND THREE titles

Sure. Then realize that the Chiefs org was supposedly hot and ready to draft Paxton Lynch before we were luckily bailed out of that disastrous decision by the Broncos.

Lynch has done about as well as could be expected from a GM in this league.

Lynch traded three 1sts to draft Trey Lance #3 overall.

This comparison sucks dick.

That has proven to be false about Paxton and pissing away 3 first on Lance was dumb as **** even at the time. You aren't helping your argument

A complete fluke he turned into a great QB? That makes no sense when you consider Brady isnt a gifted athlete by any means.

It's called hard work and determination, that's not being a fluke.

Obviously you are letting your emotions get the best of you w those posts. Might want to chill a little.

Until 2017 the Chiefs never made a bold trade for a QB like the 49ers did for Trey Lance.

They aren’t anything like the old Chiefs

I hadn’t heard but the point is that the draft is a crapshoot. We all know that.

Beyond that, DESPITE passing on Mahomes and trading three 1sts to draft Trey Lance, that org has been to four of the last five NFCCG. It makes no sense for some rando on a message board to be criticizing their roster moves.

There are only a couple elite QBs in the league. The other 28+ teams aren’t just going to try to lose as many games as possible every year. They’ve got 53 guys who need to be paid, may as well overpay for a guy like McCaffrey.

It’s a crapshoot if you lack testicles, sure.

The Niners didn’t even have a game manager on the roster and yet had the 2nd overall pick.

“Well it all worked out for them anyway.”

lol no it didn’t. Ringless wonders

The 49ers have been extremely lucky to be able to do that. A lot of it has to do with the NFC being the far weaker conference right now.

Think about this if you put them in the AFC what would they be? The 4th or 5th best team?

You got carried away at the end. Chiefs just barely beat them in the SB. Let's not act like the game was a blow out.

It also doesn't even account for the fact that because they had a couple of years where they absolutely bottomed out it allowed them to have better draft position. Even if one of those was Trey Lance.

They’ve had top notch coaching from Rat Jr and Saleh/Demeco on defense up until last year.

They’ve also drafted high end talent. Despite what you think about Purdy he was an incredible value considering he was Mr Irrelevant
