I had lunch in Excelsior Springs today at the Wabash Station BBQ. It was OK. Nothing fabulous. Got a brisket/turkey combo and some fries. It was about $10. Decent for the money, and for sure the best BBQ in that part of the world.

Wabash is one of mine and my crews favorite BBQ joints. Anytime we work up that way its a never miss. The smoker outside is the coolest old thing I have ever seen. Talked to the pit boss he is old school. Its not the best and far from the worst I have ever been to. Its consistent and never had a bad Q there and thats all you can ask for IMO.
The slab? You mean the wood bandstand the blues acts come through? |

No, used a "DOO DAH" Baloney press.
Place on electric or gas burner and it sears unique grill marks as it allows for cooking both sides at once making your baloney the pride of CP and fried baloney chefs everywhere. Minimum purchase: 24 cases (48 per case) This product has been approved by The Canadian Press Baloney Meter as being full of Baloney. Last edited by cooper barrett; 12-10-2017 at 08:37 AM.. |
