Angie (Dapple Haired Miniature Dachshunds) - 4 years old

Angie is the one that rides the motorcycle with me.

In all seriousness, it took a couple of weeks for our cats to coexist. The best thing you can do is not overreact when they fight or you can traumatize them and make them more anxious around each other. Best of luck, it will be worth it once they are living and playing together.

I don't think he was joking. Most of the time, they'll start to settle after a few days to a few weeks, but not always. I had a kitten that we brought in with our other cat a few years ago - had him for 9 months and eventually had to find him a new home because they could not coexist.
