2019 Free agency Thread
We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.
If any of you guys are interested, heres a good place to do some research. https://overthecap.com/ |

Exactly.
The smart move, imo, would be to trade for him after the draft. Send Houston our 2020 and 2021 firsts. Keep all the picks from this year. Load the **** up for a real 2-3 year Super Bowl/dynasty run. We wouldn’t have a first next year, but we would have 2 seconds and the rest of our picks. Clowney/KPass Jones/draft Nnadi/Williams Speaks/Okafor That’s a nasty DL |

He’s had 9 sacks the last two years, 7 and 4 the years prior
Injuries have been an issue for sure but he’s been a better all around player and more consistent than Dee Ford (who I liked a lot ) and I think clowney would be unreal in spags scheme |

No way zero chance it would take 2 firsts to get him. Maybe 2 2nds or this years first

He’s not gonna be cheap to trade for.
No way would they move him for the 29th overall pick. |

I’m already done talking Clowney, assuming giving up a first would be good I’m changing the topic lol.
“With Nick Bosa to the 49ers looking pretty real, would you trade Solomon Thomas to move up in the draft and upgrade another position group? I’m not saying he’s bad, but snaps might not be there” What about Solomon Thomas? He’s NFC so there’s no conflicts lol |

Clowney is an elite run defender with elite pass rushing upside. No way in hell would they only take our first for him. |

They're probably not doing it at all. It doesn't make sense for them to trade Clowney to a conference rival that teabags them frequently.
