Don't most decent shows present their characters as "operating in the gray area" as to make them relatable/realistic? BCS is outstanding across the board, but I'm not sure they should get extra credit (or defining credit) for doing what good shows/books typically do.

And Gilligan does more than just make his characters relatable. Most of his characters seem to have fatal flaws. And it's amazing to watch his progression. I remember when he forced the Marie shoplifting storyline in season 1 of BB. Gilligan has you rooting against the good guys like Hank and Chuck, two guys who generally do the right thing, but their fatal flaw bugs the crap out of a lot of people. That's pretty amazing character development. |

Pretty hard to be on "team chuck" these days. Jimmy = white whale. He's about to create a monster that didn't need to be created.

I am guessing that Chuck is going to require Jimmy to drop the family name if he continues to practice.

Vince Gilligan just said that they don't have anything mapped out or planned out when it comes to story or introducing BB characters. He said it would be easier to pre-plan it, but ultimately he is afraid that it will restrict their creativity and ideas.
They wrote BB the exact same way. |

Sorry DJ, I'm kind of off team chuck. Jimmy is a largely a shitbag, but Chuck is approaching pathological.

On the Mike side: who the hell would have known Mike would be on the side of a mountain with a sniper rifle besides one of the guys that was in his cross hairs and exactly who was he looking to shoot? Nacho makes more sense than Hector because it would erase any ties between the heist and Mike but Hector makes more sense from a revenge standpoint for threatening his niece.Someone finally was a step ahead of Mike.
