I think there is some front office stability due to the recent change in titles for Moore and Picollo.

I think what is ultimately going to cost Moore and his regime is betting on Matheny and his guys.

I wouldn't expect anything in the next year or so. More like 2024.

In the mean time, I'm going to enjoy watching Bobby Witt and Daniel Lynch and Greinke. I don't expect this team to make any noise, but those guys are fun regardless.

I've been saying for a while that for every 4 pitching prospects you have, if you get one good starter and at least one good bullpen guy out of it, you've done pretty. Lynch is looking like the "good starter" candidate. I think Singer will eventually be that bullpen guy. Koward is a flat bust. Bubic is... eh, who knows.

I don't know that I'll live to 2045. I mean, I plan on it, but I'd really like to have another World Series before then.

It's also possible they get to June and realize they haven't been as successful as they wanted, and the young guys just get promoted and they go with them. Which would inject some energy and life into the team.

One of the critiques of Matheny in St. Louis was that his teams played tight and joyless. That certainly has shown up in KC.
