He caught that on a yellow ( not chartreuse) curly tail jig about 1.5 inches long. I was using a two Inch blue and white jig that we always slay em on. So was he. For some reason he changes to the yellow curly tail, and bam!
Then he caught about a 3/4 lb redear, which is a huge redear. **** me! Little man pretty much out fishes me now. He just has that "it" factor with fishin |

the weather is supposed to be perfect - but hopefully the river won't be crowded. |

I haven't been this ready to get back outside in a looong time, but its gonna have to warm up a bit still.
In the meantime, check out this little gizmo I just found out about, I'll be putting one of these in my bugout bag very soon, a perfect survival type tool... |

I am going to be heading to the local pier on Saturday evening for some squid jigging. I've had pretty good luck so far, have about 8 or 9 lbs of cleaned and ready to cook calamari in the freezer but can always use more.

It'll be a good time. I booked a Striper guide out on Beaver for my Dad and Father-in-law as their Christmas gifts. March 15th can't get here soon enough...

Damn, it's a beautiful day out right now.
I'm going to re-dedicate myself to bass/crappie fishing and golf this spring. That ought to be a nice time. |
