*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

For now, sure. Carr was brash too for a while before getting smacked into a docile, tentative state of failure.

If Mahomes can take the NFL beatings and keep up that composure, props to him, and the Chiefs will benefit. If not? uh oh.

TBD

There are lessons everywhere that we are sitting our self's up for more heartbreak. For a couple of years, Luck was the next Brady. Many recent top 5 drafted QB's were the QOTF, for sure, no doubt.

That said, this is the most excited about the Chiefs since Joe Montana became a Chief. There is going to be fan pain again? Bring it on.

That's not true at all. Go back and watch Carr during his rookie year when he had far worse pass protection than he has grown accustomed to. He didn't handle pressure well at all. Never has.

Yeah I have doubts in regards to Carr as his Oline seems to be on the decline which was always to be expected with an aging LT in Penn and now question marks at both tackle positions.

It was nice when he had arguably the best Oline in the league but I am not sure he can get back to his level last year is his protection is not as good. But surely having Jon Gruden mentor him will help.

Pat is used to a shitty line. Matter of fact that is why he stole Davis Webb’s job as a true freshman. Webb struggled behind a crap OL, got injured, and wasn’t able to take the job back when healthy. It became very obvious Pat’s scrambling, playmaking, and arm talent were all flat out better than Webb.

This was from earlier this week. I may have already been posted, but I haven't ran across it anywhere. Pretty classy and good leadership move IMO.
