We needed to get more physical and I think we've seen that in all 3 of our D picks. We need another mauler along the D line and we'll make Arrowhead rock on both sides of the ball. I want other teams to have a full medical staff on standby when they play us.

Just gonna write this one off, hope for the best and say "Veach knows what he's doing"
Our defensive ends still look like the absolute worst in the AFCW even with Karlaftis... damn sure hope he has a plan for some solid FA signings |

No, he's a Cover 2 strong safety. His job is to not let people get deep on him and he can do that.
He's not elite range guy but we're not going to be playing as much blitz. We're going to play more shell coverages and Spags will use him correctly. I was a bit shocked when we traded up for a corner but it all makes sense now. Safeties are not going to need to be as elite but we will ask more from our corners. When we play shell Reid can be free and he can play strong. Both can start far back but come up and take away the run. |

Views of draft picks here seem very one dimensional.
Oh, he's under 6'. Must be a slot corner. Oh, he's a "motor" guy. Must not be a good athlete. Oh, he's under 6'. Must be a slot receiver. Oh, he's a hard-hitting safety. Must not be good in coverage. These are not top 10 picks. Something about them will be non-elite. The league is full of guys like this. |

Probably my least favourite pick as Jones seemed the right option and i hate seeing where he went, and I think Cross was available at safety, who I preferred. He's a good player, just...i don't think my preference at that point. On the other hand I'm pretty pleased we've kept investing in the secondary. I know the DL was a mess but we needed talent all across the defence.
