I’m operating off like a 25 year old memory here so some details may be wrong but I remember one episode had some sort of African warrior against a European warrior. One round of testing was like a metal mace for the European warrior. They tested that weapon on one of those ballistic dummies and, OMG, it ****ing destroyed that thing. It was a slaughterhouse. Slightly off topic, but after seeing thay destruction, if I ever get teleported to a colosseum and am forced to pick from a wall of weapons to fight to the death, I will probably pick a mace. It left a lasting impression. Anyway, when they tested the African weapon, it was like a wooden club type of thing. Instead of also testing it on a ballistic dummy, they tested it on some glass. I’m like, wtf, of course a weapon meant to kill would shatter a few panes of glass. Made no sense. They were clearly gaming the system to level the playing field. Quote:
Feel bad for the gorilla. Got his arm ripped off then killed and all he could do to the leopard was blind him in one eye. It’s a good thing that 600-pound lion didn’t make its way into the enclosure as well. That would have been messy. Idk. I feel like there isn’t a ton of different between a moose and a Cape buffalo. I suppose Cape buffalo have a meaner disposition but they’re not too dissimilar in weight and Grizzlies will kill fully grown bull moose. |

According to a 2021 YouGov survey, elephants have the best chance of winning in a fight among wild animals, with a 74% win rate. This is just slightly ahead of rhinoceroses, which also have a 74% win rate. Grizzly bears come in third place with a 73% win rate. Other animals that perform well in the survey include: tigers (70%), hippos (69%), lions (68%), and crocodiles (67%).

I’m not sure I’d take a gorilla over a black bear.
Grizzly waxed gorilla all over the floor. |

The gorilla is moving that 500lbs in ways a grizzly doesn't. I think the Gorilla is stronger with more functional strength and I'll die on this hill.

The rhino had zero chance in the fight from what I saw. The elephant was much bigger and much smarter. |

Hippos are massive and insanely aggressive/territorial yet they climb over each other trying to get out of the way of this elephant lol |

I don't think black bears have near the aggression of a grizzly. So I think I might take the Gorilla. A big black bear is probably about the same size as a big silverback; 500 or so pounds. A black may get a little bigger than that (probably 600 tops) but there's not the massive size disparity with the black that there is with the griz. And from anything I've ever seen, they just aren't as mean. Friggen grizzly's are nasty bastards when they're mad. |
