Do you find the Olympics to be a big waste of time? Personally, I'm looking forward the the ski jumping.

I think we'll start pulling a way a little, though, with swimming, gymnastics, etc. about done and track ramping up. Plus we still have basketball, volleyball, womens soccer.

Teeny beach volleyball bikinis, followed by tight swimming one-pieces, followed later by tight running outfits... Good day to watch the Olympics.

Really? That's weird. I can completely see where they could make those "cheetah blades" so springy that he could bounce 10 yards or so per stride, surpassing the abilities of normal people. It just isn't that hard to see where this could lead. Not sure how you can't grasp that.

Did you read the article from the Scientific American that I posted earlier?

After two days of tests Brüggemann reported on his findings on behalf of the IAAF. The report claimed that Pistorius's limbs used 25% less energy than runners with complete natural legs to run at the same speed, and that they led to less vertical motion combined with 30% less mechanical work for lifting the body.[33] In December, Brüggemann told Die Welt newspaper that Pistorius "has considerable advantages over athletes without prosthetic limbs who were tested by us. It was more than just a few percentage points. I did not expect it to be so clear."[34] Based on these findings, on 14 January 2008 the IAAF ruled Pistorius's prostheses ineligible for use in competitions conducted under the IAAF rules, including the 2008 Summer Olympics.[35] Pistorius called the decision "premature and highly subjective" and pledged to continue fighting for his dream. His manager Peet van Zyl said his appeal would be based on advice from United States experts who had said that the report "did not take enough variables into consideration".[36]

10 yards per stride?

I didn't see that while he was running.

Did you notice he was missing feet?

If these 'cheetah blades' are SO unfair, why has the IOC allowed it?

NewChief provides scientific, quantitative data. Simpleton dave just continuously parrots a "no feet" mantra.

Same as it ever was.

I don't think he can comprehend your argument if provided verbally or through simplistic drawings, much less read and understand it.
