They were so excited to end the streak of losses to the Chiefs, lol. The majority of KC fans didn't really care because of all the injuries and the flu for Pat that game. Turns out, that probably cost them a shot at a real NFL QB. Chiefs screwed you guy again.

Knowmo, any thoughts on these throws?

Uh, no - no, we weren't. I believe QJ made a comment about 1st-team Preseason All-Pro. He was immediately widely mocked for having said that - by Chiefs fans and Broncos fans alike.

To illustrate my point, I'll point you to a comment I made today in the game thread on the Huddle - a comment that was me making light of the concept. Here is the comment.

No real Broncos fan ever said anything like that with a straight face. But it will heretofore be a part of ChiefsPlanet lore. "Remember that year they were all expecting a trophy for winning the Preseason?"

That kind of thing is an embarrassing reflection on this place. It's why I will occasionally make the observation that trying to have any sincere discussion here, other than with the rare poster or two that are reasonable (notorious, Megatron, sometimes NWO, Simply Red, and DaFace are some examples), is a complete waste of time. You guys get yourselves a big, ol' circle jerk going about something, the actual truth or reality be damned.

1) It is a crap shoot at best drafting QB's.

2) Nix in his first game was historically bad against a team ranked in the
bottom third of the league defensively last season.

3) Acknowledge and accept that drafting this guy at 12 was an overreach and
that is extremely unlikely that he will become a starting QB in the NFL.

That is sincere - not hyperbole - just reality.

Acceptance is the first step to recovery!

I really hope Wilson plays. Regardless of who the QB for the Steelers is they will win because of the defense getting multiple turnovers and at least one TD. Of Wilson is the one riding those coattails that would just make it all the more glorious.

Some context. Rookie QBs who start week 1 usually struggle. Mahomes didn’t even manage to throw or run for a single touchdown in his debut, and he sat the first 15 games.

From Bill Barnwell:

Spoiler!

Mahomes didn’t look like a steaming pile of shit in his first game, unlike Mo Pix. Had you not stopped watching the games in October, as usual, you would know that.

Yeah…Mahomes first start with similar WR’s (backups) and he showed a shit ton of high ceiling throws while Bo threw at defenders and into triple coverage

So you would probably say he wasn’t very “pro-ready”? The guy can’t hit the side of a barn if it was deeper than 3 yards.

Knowmo, would you agree with this statement?
