Mahomes is the greatest thing to ever happen to the Kansas City Chiefs and all the loyal Chiefs fans. But, that doesn't mean people have to pretend he is playing well, when he clearly isn't.

There isn't a Chiefs fan alive that doesn't idolize Patrick Mahomes II. But he had 2 fumbles, and 2 picks, one of which he literally hit the defender between the numbers.

Pretending otherwise isn't a badge of true Fandom, and it certainly doesn't elevate those fans above any others.

During the game, the thing that disappointed me the most was the fact that Mahomes was going to be unfairly labeled a choker, because he was playing his worst game as a professional.

And I knew that he dragged this organization, and a terrible defense to what should have been a Super Bowl last year, and took them to the Super Bowl this year.

I think saying he was playing his worst game isn't even debatable. Now, I wasn't one of the people saying he shit himself, or anything like that, but emotions were extremely high. And in the end, he was having his worst game, until he wasn't.

Our Kansas City Chiefs just won the damned Super Bowl, after 50 years. It is absolutely not the time to start bashing other fans because they were having an emotional reaction, or because they were realists and said Mahomes was playing poorly.

Let me repeat that: OUR KANSAS CITY CHIEFS JUST WON THE SUPER BOWL.

GO CHIEFS

Damn, I won't lie.. I didn't like our chances after Mahomes 2nd pick, but I was not blaming him. Our offense struggled because our O-line was getting it's shit pushed in most of the game. They managed to give him just enough there at the end to let him go out and win a championship.

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

It's like playing the MASTERS and you have had an off day playing the first 15 holes not near up to your standards BUT you are still in striking distance and then you pull off 2 birdies and then eagle the 18th to win by 2 strokes.

You're right. That timeout at the end of the first half he took was textbook.

Let's not get carried away here. A SB win does not erase Andys clock management gaffe history, or make him good at it all of a sudden.

NOBODY thought his timeout at the end of the half was smart. It was full Reidtard that very nearly awarded SF points when they were clearly content to be tied at half.

I LOL'd at all the pussies when everything looked the most bleak and said that we were still winning the game.

I acknowledged that Patrick wasn't playing well but said he had time to redeem himself.

And I said all the pussies who doubted would live forever in CP infamy.

It's all right there in the game thread. And I wasn't the only Believer.
