Tickets should be sold by whoever controls the venue. Simple. Not sure why a third-party ever got involved.

Or the performers could sell tickets directly to the public. They are the ones who are (or should be) the most concerned about making fans happy. Why would they leave any customer service up to a venue or some rotten dickhole entity like Ticketmaster?

Tickets were $20 back then. I have ticket stubs from OZZY and Priest that were $10 for first row dead center. Now, It's $150 to see anyone and thats usually in the upper deck. Major band? North of $200.00. When you are paying a booking/convience fee on a $10 ticket is a way different animal from paying that fee on a $200 ticket. Thats just not inflation and increased costs.

I would love to know how many of supporters of the Justice Department going after Ticketmaster use Uber Eats or DoorDash.

Door dash has 66% of the market and Ticketmaster 70%.

You want to update your statement?

That has nothing to do with the presence of competitors, so, no.

Or hop in your car and drive to the restaurant. It’s not like food delivery services are mandating businesses only work through them.

Yet another example of schmo doubling down on his awful take. It’s the boomer way.
