What Are You Spinning? Cont.
Rabble's thread has become extremely slow to load and post so I'm starting a new one while the other will be locked.
As rabble is no longer with us (cough), I have been authorized to post in his stead. Perhaps we can add a full description of the video then post a direct link in an effort to forego the issues in the original thread. Let's hear what your hearing. I’ve been reading positive things about Gary Clark Jr.’s new album This Land. I’ve not heard any of it though. Reviews indicate he’s moving into more of a rock sound.

Spun a couple if my Little Feat albums today Dixie Chicken and Feats dont Fail Me Now. Then watched this live concert. Hard to believe in less than a year after that concert Lowell would be dead. I seen them maybe 4 times still the best live band concerts I ever saw. You could tell Lowell was just going through the motions. He wasnt keen on the band's direction into jazz fusion. Funny they were more well known in Europe than the States most likely because Disco had overtaken the US. Jimmy Page said it was his favorite American band and the Stones called them there favorite band period. One of mine to!

You can hear how being in the Mothers of Invention how Lowell George was influenced by Frank Zappa with the song Bacon Fat. I can almost hear early Feat in that song.
