Herbert is just another overhyped QB.

Like everyone, I had it (probably should be read HAVE it).
I played in a basketball tournament and got it super inflamed and it sucked in new and impressive ways. Walking out to my pickup seemed insurmountable. After the inflammation went down I was able to tape it up and still play without it getting out of hand. I'm sure Herbert is getting better treatment than I gave myself, but he's also doing way more on it than I was. And Training Camp would be ass. I also don't know what it would be like in cleats. I also never tried to do anything like drive off my back foot. I'm also an idiot, but I'd hold him out. If it went like mine it's do able. If it's torn, he's ****ed. I can't imagine trying to keep throwing mechanics pure if it's torn. And there is possible there is damage to a different spot than mine so it may respond differently too. If I was in charge (remember I'm an idiot) I'd hold him out and bet on being able to tape it and hope it doesn't get worse. Dangerous with a new offense he needs reps in, but the regular season is what matters. |

So what was everyones treatment? I had to
Ice until numb 2-3 times a day Battery of stretches Sleep in boots to keep my ankle at 90 degree angles (stretched at night) did physical therapy with the shock thing. Taped up feet. Custom insoles Took about 4 weeks to feel some relief. 4 months to get rid of it. And always bought GOOD SHOES Last edited by displacedinMN; 08-02-2024 at 08:44 AM.. |

I know I know... things are different and the RT has to be just as good as the LT. Blah blah blah. Chargers weren't exactly chock full of talent. They should have traded down and taken that one RT they were rumored to draft at 5th overall before they went with Alt. |

Just came off a year battling PF. It sucked!! Not sure if he has the same issues I had, but it’s no joke for sure.

I tried a bunch of different shit, all the different balls and shit. Ice didn’t really help much. Just taping it if I was going to be on it. And stretch it every morning and night. I did buy this cheap ass myofascial release roller thing that I think did do some good. I tried those. They’re not worth a shit on uneven ground (which all of my activity is - or on concrete). They don’t have enough cushion for concrete which gave me other problems and exacerbated the PF then if it wasn’t on flat ground it wouldn’t hit my foot in the right place so it was jabbing something hard into the injury. Didn’t take long before I fired those things into the sun. |

Even for a division rival it's tough to get pumped up for the Chargers. Kind of like going to Wal Mart of football games.
