*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****
IT ****ING HAPPENED
OP UPDATE: Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! Last edited by Dante84; 05-17-2017 at 09:40 AM.. |

This is ridiculous. You traded up and gave up premium picks for this guy, stop the bullshit and play this phenom.

You're a ****ing reerun if your positive feelings for Alex Smith lead you to believe he's a QB who can get this team to the top of the heap, and ignore his numerous shortcomings which in all logical likelihood cap the team's potential. Or if you refer to a QB's win percentage to determine how good he is. Giving a completely mediocre QB a nickname, any nickname, also is a warning sign (unless it references his milquetoast-mess). Didn't you just get through telling us how Alex's playoff record isn't his fault?

Patrick Mahomes, QB: The dual-threat playmaker is certainly impressive playing on the edges, but it has been his exceptional efficiency and effectiveness from the pocket that has earned him rave reviews this preseason. In completing 10 of his 14 passes for 88 yards and two scores in Cincy, Mahomes displayed outstanding timing and anticipation on a variety of quick-rhythm routes, also showcasing athleticism and improvisational skills. Although he still needs to rein in some of his gunslinging ways, the Chiefs' QB of the future is developing ahead of schedule. Grade: A

If you insist on calling Alex, "Smitty," even though you don't know him personally and it's not really his nickname, then you might be a reerun.

If you saw him on the street would you walk up to him and call him Smitty? |
