They should be very active before the trade deadline. A few contracts may limit their trade options, but they need to make moves. This defense is just awful and overall, just a sad collection.

They do need to grill Sean more about that. He talked smack about Hackett and so far is no better. He hired a worse D Coordinator and his team now sits at 1-4 with a moral "come from behind" victory over the lowly Bears. Plus his team lost by 50 points. We can talk all about giving up 70, but they lost by 50 because they could only muster 20 points.

I find it funniest that they paid a ton for an overrated coach like Payton who could only manage one SB appearance and win despite having a first ballot HOF QB and playing in the NFC which had neither the Manning Colts or the Brady Patriots. Heck they didn't even have the Big Ben Steelers.

I totally agree. The only player I would keep is Surtain, the rest can pound sand. Time for a full on rebuild, which should have happened years ago, but the brass' egos wouldn't let them. Now you have to suffer though another lost season and hope you can hit on a bunch of draft picks over the next two years just to get to decent.

Say they get Caleb Williams and he actually agrees to go there. Okay so you have major problems on defense, Mims is the only receiver Payton likes, OL is okay but not great. There's problems everywhere.

This is a full on 3 year rebuild type of dumpster fire. His rookie contract might be wasted anyway

The Texans are playing much better than expected. Would not be surprised at all if they beat Denver as well. Denver just need a few more wins this year.

That's definitely not the Bronco I would hope they traded for.

Any quarterback that they draft is going to be in a division with Patrick Mahomes II. Any rookie contract is going to be wasted.
