So is Sean Payton just absolute garbage?

If your team is 1-3 and the only win is a close one against the trash Bears, then who do you blame?

If it’s not the talent (which it actually is), then it has to be the coach (who is also trash).
Also he didn’t do coaching staff!

The Broncos have the better running backs and OL despite the Chiefs having more rushing yards and a higher ypc average, while allowing 9 fewer sacks.

All of this with the Broncos playing all bad defenses so far.

Incredible.

This is the type of logic that ends up with a mediocre player like john elway on your team's ring of fame.

Last edited by Rain Man; 10-05-2023 at 07:42 PM.. Reason: Typographical error required fixing. And elway was mediocre.

It’s not talent or coaching, it’s their mentality.

Going through 6 straight losing seasons has a way of sapping a team’s confidence when the game is tight at the end or when things go bad. One penalty or turnover can lead to the feeling of, “here we again.” It has been an issue for years.

That’s why that 21 point second half comeback on the road was so huge. Denver didn’t quit when things started snowballing.

The Chiefs had to kick that habit before they started winning. The Jamaal Charles fumble in 2015 was the epitome of that mentality that Denver is trying to get over now.

Chiefs started winning because they got more talented, got Andy Reid, and then took off with Patrick Mahomes.

That’s how Denver will start winning. Better talent. Better coach. Better QB.

You are jerking it pretty hard for the equivalent of KC coming back and beating the suck for Luck Colts in a lost season

You can throw some blame at VJ. But the coaching on offense and Special Teams has been phenomenal.

The Chiefs went through hell in the Pioli / Cassel era got Reid and Alex ****ing Smith and started winning division titles.

Denver is ****ed with Wilson and Payton and not much draft capital or cap space.

Alex Smith in KC > then Wilson in Denver.

Now we have Mahomes .

1-3 record and inflated stats thanks to a blown coverage and fluke hail mary also playing every snap in a game that was over in the 1st quarter piling up garbage time numbers ALL game...and we're supposed to be impressed by that???
