FedEx asks Redskins to change name

Here we go. I think part of the reason we’ve been safe from this kind of stuff is because the Redskins have always been a bigger target. Now that there’s pressure from sponsors Snyder is going to feel the heat like never before.

If they go down, make no mistake, the mob will come for us next.

The stuff from McAfee's show is ominous to me. McAfee is brash but he isn't a bull****er. Said a friend texted him about the news today and that the on the field revelations from the Washington story could damage the entire NFL. Said there's one "key word" that's no where on the internet yet (no one has the story), but when it drops, it could hurt the whole league.

Idk. McAfee loves to spill the beans so you know he's itching to talk about it. I don't think he uses hyperboles like that if he can't eventually spill.

It's probably the accusation that Snyder (and others) paid off refs. That wasn't really widespread until the afternoon, and his show is in the morning.

If they really were paying off refs, they obviously weren't paying enough.

That's why the news would be so damaging... because the allegations are that Snyder (and other owners) were getting exactly what they wanted. This still feels a little too "internet driven escalation" to me. We as a culture are so hooked to instant information that in the rare event we don't get it, speculation runs rampant like this.

He wasn't paying to win of I'm understanding it correctly.

The idea would be that paying off refs for results that don't always include winning would be making them more money than titles...that would make the entire league a sham.

I don't know why these media dudes are trying to curtain jerk on this news. Like people care that much about a dead, gay and nameless franchise.

Pure speculation and PTSD from battered fan syndrome.

Someone mentioned earlier how some of the smoke here could be linked to Snyder (as well as other owners) paying off refs.

I mean Snyder was doing something right paying off refs when they've been dogshit for 30 years but are still the third most valuable team in the league.
