There’s a conspiracy theory going around now that he was never injured at all. Remember, they’ve given at least 3 to 4 different explanations for the ankle. First, it was a calf strain, then it was a high ankle issue, then it was a bone issue in the front of his ankle. It’s still not clear what the injury even is.
Then you have the video of him warming up before week 2 and moving just fine, not favoring the ankle at all. The story goes, Luck has been waffling on playing this year since the spring and he claimed to have an ankle injury to be able to avoid practice. The team doctors examined him repeatedly but couldnt find anything wrong. There was no muscle issue at all, the X-rays on that came back clean. So there they are, with a qb the doctors say isn’t injured but who claims to be in pain. The front office starts to suspect that there’s more going on than what he’s telling them and the season is two weeks away. So they have a come to Jesus meeting with him Monday and say look, we need to know if you’re all in or not. If not, we need to know so we can move on. They more or less gave him an ultimatum, either your all in or your all out. And he chose what he’s been leaning towards all along. I’m not sure I believe it but it makes a lot of sense. |

If that's the case, I doubt they'd have not went after any of his money.

Total garbage fans burning his jersey. Really? What a crock of shit. The most absurd fan response imaginable. Again, I hate hate that this happened right before a deep qb class. This spoiled fan base deserves to know what it's like to watch over a decade of cassel, Thigpen, croyle, Quinn, let alone Alex Smith

There was a study done a number of years ago in one of the major medical journals regarding this. A number of people with chronic low back issues were given MRI's and found to have nothing wrong with them...On the contrary, people with no chronic pain issues received the same MRI and were found to have actual structural abnormalities. There was a Medical Doctor by the name of Sarno that researched this extensively from the 1960's through the early 2000's. He basically found that many people with chronic pain issues are actually triggering their problems subconsciously due to past psychological issues and emotional traumas. So, I don't think it's fair to point the finger at Luck by saying "he's fine" and "he's lying about being hurt", because you really have no idea, and frankly neither does Modern Medicine, about what is going on with the guy. Getting continuously destroyed and tackled and sustaining REAL physical injuries over the course of several years would certainly have an effect on a person. So, while his physical injuries may have healed, he could still be ****ed up psychologically. That said, he deserves better than being booed by your fanbase. |

Lol. RBs/offensive lineman are human battering rams not QBs. Also, his body didnt 'say enough'. None of his injuries were career ending. I dont know what makes you think his body said enough but that is bullshit. Injuries are a part of the game and Luck knows that. If he was so worried about rehabbing from injuries then he should have retired a long time ago.
