Only Andy seems more capable in that department.

So yeah, I'd count Sean as a QB whisperer. Not quite on the same level as Andy, but when you look around the league, well, let's just say your Dan Quinns or Mike McCarthys just aren't on that level, not even close.

Sorry if that hurts your feelings or whatever, but the facts are pretty clear.
Well hot damn, if know -it-all MegaMouth says it's true, it must be true! And I seriously doubt his feelings are hurt by disagreeing with you. You take yourself much too seriously around here...Have you ever been known to admit you're wrong about anything? Ever? And/ or giving someone else credit for their take if it's different from yours? Just go away and stay there so this thread can breathe again.

And, who knows... they're just rumors.
Yeah but no one is tuning in to see the Broncos.

They wanna see Mahomes, Allen and Jefferson.

Good point, and two are on the road. But still, 3 national games are a lot. I would think a slate like that would be reserved for winners.
For what it's worth, I'll be glad to host Denver in a national game for a change. It's usually at your place when that happens.

Whatever. My point has been simply that Payton is a significantly better HC/OC than Hackett. Imo, Sean's better than McCarthy as well, a few stats without context notwithstanding. But go ahead and believe whatever you want about McCarthy and Sean if it makes you feel better.
They both coached in the same conference at the same time, both had HoF QBs over a decade and both were only able to deliver their Elite QBs to the Super Bowl one time, and have a very comparable win percentage to each other along with similar division success.

Don't get me wrong, you can do a LOT worse than McCarthy, but don't act like the stats don't have context. They had eerily similar tenures with their first teams with pretty similar situations.

It's not like Payton made Brees. Brees was pretty damn good in Marty's offense in San Diego, that says enough.

Will Denver be better than what they were? Probably, but this idea from a lot of people that he's going to completely turn a 180 on Russ or that hes a QB whisperer is somewhat dishonest at best, willfully disillusioned at worst. He was handed a great QB that was undervalued by Marty and built his offense around the pass rather than the run when the game was beginning to shift heavy that way.

Will Russ be as bad? Probably not. Will that change the outcome of things? Probably not.

Denver will still be in the bottom half of the AFC West, probably with a losing record, and two more losses to the Chiefs (more because of how good Andy is as a coach than anything else) barring significant injuries.

Lol, several times a season. When I'm wrong, I'm the first to admit it. And i constantly credit others, whether it's someone on CP, or an analyst or whoever.

i think you're mixing me up with someone else.

And I wasn't aware that the DEN thread was your sole province, or that I needed an official invitation from you to post in it.

Please excuse my temerity.

And let’s look at those 3 ‘PrimeTime’ games. One at KC, one at Buffalo. I’m sure those were picked because of the Donkos.

I’ll throw you a bone on the Vikings one and assume maybe the NFL wanted to see JJ and Surtain go head to head for a whole game. That should at least be a semi fun matchup to watch. (Not the game, mind you, just that individual match up).

So you scored one for yourself and two more thanks to the conference elites. You’re welcome.

Almost maxed out those P.T. games . . . . . . . . . .

All I know is you have a big mouth and you're full of yourself. And you prove it every time you open your mouth. To use your words, sorry if that hurts your feelings. Is that sensitive enough for you? Mouth.

Let's stay on task and continue to laugh at the 28th ranked roster of Denver who gets minimal prime time exposure even with the hack coach returning to football
