I just heard that. They said that his contract expired at the start of the league year. I think that everyone thought that he was already gone. I've heard nothing about him since Walmart bought the team.

Not really. They somehow found someone even worse at making QB and personnel decisions than Horseface was, a feat previously thought to be impossible.

Well, Elfraud was still a consultant until now. So, it's possible that he had some say in those horrendous moves. We'll see if he manages to improve without Elfraud around. Doubtful, but the Donks fans are grasping for any glimmer of hope.

I think they likely kept him around because of what he means to the franchise through the final sale.

Most likely. I guess having owners with no historical ties to the team are what it took for the Broncos to rid themselves of him. After two SB wins` as a player and one as a GM he made it hard for anyone from the previous regime to let him go.

Quite a tenure Elway has had with the donks. First, he proved that they can't win shit without cheating when he was a player. Then, he went and did it again - only as an executive. Finally, he rode the franchise into the ground like Slim Pickens on the back of a nuke (this was the most satisfying part). I sure will miss him.
