FedEx asks Redskins to change name

Here we go. I think part of the reason we’ve been safe from this kind of stuff is because the Redskins have always been a bigger target. Now that there’s pressure from sponsors Snyder is going to feel the heat like never before.

If they go down, make no mistake, the mob will come for us next.

You're not going to name a team after something that you view as a negative.

So people can get offended however they want, and certainly there's a potential for different people to perceive names differently. But they simply can't argue that a team name is intentionally an insult.

(This ignores the Boaty McBoatface possibility such as the Santa Cruz Banana Slugs, but that's an outlier.)
The Navajo Nation has suggested that Washington honor Native Americans by perhaps naming the team the Code Talkers. I personally don't think that is a good sounding name, but I could go with the Washington Warriors (the Code Talkers were warriors and an integral part of our nation's success in WW2) and use the Marine Code Talker symbol as the team logo (it wouldn't even need much of a color scheme change from the current palatte).

Twitter is just about ablaze right now about Snyder and this supposed expose. You're also starting to see some media folks hint that a bomb is about to drop.

Since it's Twitter and all, the unflattering news will probably be Dan Snyder's kid called someone a pillowbiter while playing Call of Duty in 2013.
