The fact is we were already losing ground last year, and we've lost a ton more this offseason. I'm not saying the Chiefs won't be competitive, but this is not 2019. This is going to be a brutal season. The division and conference as a whole might be better than anything any team has seen in recent memory. The NFC looks like a minor league at this point, and as usual Brady is goddamn beneficiary. Go figure. In the meantime Pat is entering his prime and is going to have to literally run a gauntlet just to get to the playoffs.

Nobody was afraid to play us before. Teams thought they had the formula to beat us the last 4 years. But we had the best coach/qb/TE/WR combo over that period so we would punch them in the mouth and play our game. We’re still gonna play our game. Let the other teams keep loading up on high priced FA. We have a PROVEN CHAMPIONSHIP CORE. What has any other HC in the division proven? NOTHING. McDouche has done nothing but bad with his first stint as a HC. Hackett is a first time HC who has never even called plays before. Staley has shown a propensity to take analytics over knowledge, and has cost his team. Andy will continue to put clown shoes on these turds. None of these coaches has shown they can put together a “dream team” and win with players that have no chemistry going into the season. Matter of fact the Rams are the only team to construct that kind of roster and win with it. I guess maybe Bucs the year before too, but we all know how Brady got the calls every time.

Carr is what he’s always been. Herbert is good, but unproven, and who knows what Russ has left in the tank. We still have the best coach/QB/TE/WR1 combo in the division. One of the best OL also. We’ll be fine.

I’ll start worrying about these teams and their big splash FA, when they’ve shown me there’s reason to worry. Veach isn’t even started on this yet, but I’m pretty sure we will mostly all be happy with the final roster heading into week 1. Step off the ledge and let the offseason play out.

Yeah I get it, I'm not on the ledge. Just saying we are definitely losing ground. I have no doubt Veach has a plan, but it's just pretty insane what's going on. There hasn't been a division in recent memory that added so many impact stars in one offseason. It's a cause for concern.

Two years ago, we had what, $149 in cap space? Then proceeded to sign Mahomes to a record deal as well as getting Chris Jones' contract done.

Last year we had almost nothing for an Offensive Line and then look what happened.

I think we should all take a minute and have some faith that Veach has this and we will be fine. Not only this year, but down the road when these teams with no high-end draft picks fall apart like a plane in mid-air.

This is not really a great argument... For Denver, yeah - they lose the right to gain 4 players in the first 2 rounds in the next 2 drafts. How do they offset that? They make solid FA signings for guys younger than 30.

And, in April's draft... they still have a R2 pick - with 4 in the top 100 and 4 in the first 5 rounds. So, Denver can still have a very healthy and capable 2022 draft, despite losing 2 top picks.

That would normally be true, but you're talking about two franchises who haven't drafted worth a shit for years. They're actually better off foregoing the draft and signing FAs until they get competent front offices.
