Chiefs avg 35.3 giving up 26.3 so a plus 9
Jags avg 15.3 giving up 19.8, so a minus 4

Talking 2018.

That gives the Chiefs a plus 12.

How about....32-20.

In 2018...Chiefs won 30-14 in KC.

30-23.

Closer than we think with some late garbage points for Jags.

While Foles is obviously better than Bortles, I just don’t see them being able to consistently move the ball on offense.

I think they will shut us down for a few drives, but we have too many weapons and they will only be able to keep us down for so long. We pull away in the 2nd half and coast (minus garbage time score for Jags) to victory.

I think the Chiefs win, and probably by at least 8.

I actually believe Foles will probably play fairly well, but let's be honest this is his first year starting in a few years, and he's starting for a new team and a new offense. He doesn't have that many weapons at his disposal, but he does have a decent RB, a decent WR in Westbrook, but TE Swaim isn't a game-changer, and neither is Conley.

But the Jags offense is built around Fournette running the ball well. Not the passing game. And our run D appears to be significantly better than last year. So if we can take Fournette away, our D should be able to contain their passing game well enough to keep them from scoring anymore than their average, about 20 points I think.

Last year the Chiefs averaged 35 pts, I think.

The Jags do have a pretty good D, and Josh Allen could be a game-wrecker, but the Jags have him subbing in, not starting, so I think his impact will be limited in this game. However, the Jags have seen the Chiefs air raid offense before so they have first-hand experience which should allow them to game-plan better this time around.

In the end, I think the problem for the Jags is simple: the Chiefs just have too many weapons, and Andy is practically a wizard if you give him extra time to prep for a game.

Add in the fact that whatever the hurricane actually does, the psychological influence for the Jags will have some kind of impact. It's hard to play at your best if you're worrying about your family/home/friends/etc.

My only real worry is that the Chiefs might pick up some injuries if they play in Jacksonville. The weather is going to be hot and very humid. Dehydration could produce cramps/tightness and lead to lower-body injuries the Chiefs just don't need.

I was at the last season opener in Jacksonville in 2013 when Alex Smith and lesser receivers like Hemingway blew them out. Andy Reid is going to coach circles around Jax and it will be over quick.

Won't be high scoring I bet. It might even be close but the game will never be in doubt.

And staying consistent - Pete Prisco not only picks the Jags to cover the spread, but to defeat us outright.

Way to go, Pete.
