A lot of context has come to life since that trade. Watson was playing out of his mind, and if they think adding someone of Lattimore’s caliber is necessary here midseason, that says a lot about what Watson was doing + even more about what they think Nazeeh and Williams are capable of doing in Watson’s absence.

With Lattimore only having $1M left to pay this year, it’s not apples to apples between choosing he and Sneed.
Yes it is. Lattimore is hurt. A ****ing LOT. Expecting him to come in off the rip and be elite is foolishly optimistic at best. Sneed had years in the system and we would've had 3 elite CBs only needing to pay one with the ability to stagger his and McDuffies contract.

That assumes they would pay Lattimore anything past this $1m or so that he’s owed, and I don’t believe they would. It’s a rental if they go down that road, I think.

But it really wouldn’t surprise me if this whole report is a leverage play for the Chiefs to get someone else.

Bullshit. They way this has played out keeping was the right move. Now we have to deal a similar pick for an injured Lattimore or field a corner group after McDuffie that is a bunch of COMPLETE turds. Minshew for ****s sake was shredding those jobbers at times

Look at your expertise! It’s as if hindsight makes every decision just a bit easier. How could they not have predicted their 2 and 3 would get injured!? Every team should have starters 6 players deep on the depth chart tf Veach!?

If Veach had kept Sneed, other dominos would have tipped the wrong way considering all of the injuries to starters. No Uche or DHop. No Creed or Smith extensions. Bye Bolton. You really act like team building is some basic skill.

The plan was going brilliantly until Jaylen Watson got hurt.

We didn't need Sneed. Now we do.

That's not a fault or an error by Veach. So maaaaaybe quit your bitching and moaning about Sneed?

Wasn't Watson playing at a top 10 level CB when he got hurt?

And yeah, it DOES say a lot that they seemingly have no interest in Nazeeh Johnson or Josh Williams being CB #2. For how much folks touted our CB depth as a reason we could trade Sneed, it sure looks pretty rough with just one injury.

Of course you claimed we had McDuffie and a bunch of assholes. Now Watson was playing at an all pro level and gets hurt and you want to take a victory lap. In a normal year they don't consider this move. They're obviously going hard for the threepeat and are wanting as much talent on the team as they can afford.

Just freaking do it Veach. Anything worth doing is worth over doing. Go get Lattimore and our defense is absolute nails across the board. Mahomes/Reid will handle the rest. Go get the 3 peat!

Wont do any good if Lattimore can't play. The guy is hurt. Not, "hurt," but hurt for real.

Yeah, and his health is still a major concern. Even stated by Schefter in that piece.

They said he has an aggravated hamstring. Not the end of the world. But if he could be 100% in 2-3 weeks. Worth it.

But I believe its the tendons of his hamstring that attach it to tge bone... Could be 2-3 weeks, sure. Could also go, "Pop!" No bueno.

I know Veach is not dumb. Im sure he's looking into it, and of course Lattimore will have to pass a physical. But I'm just saying, that it IS a risk.
