I wear a goatee and moustache partly because I'm a little heavy and it thins my face and partly because it's so much easier to not shave those whiskers off. It's an ease of maintenance thing. I can shave everything off except the goatee and stache in short order but working around my lips and chin is a different story.

I do the goatee from 1st day of Spring to the middle of October and then grow out the beard for the winter.
I did "mustache only" while I was in the military (shaved the stache off twice - basic and air assault school (who needs the hassle)), but as soon as I got out I grew the beard out again. Pissed off my Sergeant Major because I had my official Army photo taken with my mustache. He swore I'd never make Sergeant First Class with a mustache, and lo and behold, I was picked up below the zone in my first year of eligibility. I thought he was going to blow a gasket when he heard. *grin* |

Once you grow beard, shaving it looks weird.
Remember that. |

Beards came into style about 12 years ago, once Millennial men were old enough to grow them. They hit a bit of a lull as pop culture has shifted to Gen Z, but are now coming back as their balls have dropped.

Women don't even understand why beards make them ovulate like so, but they do. And they may deny they like men with a beard but once you grow one they never want you to get rid of it.

My mom did not like beards. She looked at me when I started wearing a goatee and said that the facial hair made a mouth look like a butthole. Thanks, Mom! Miss you and RIP.

A good set of carbide deburring tools for your drill or dremel works well with the nose hairs. Them hairs intertwangled with your stache hairs can get your shit all ****ed up
