Lynch may be a complete idiot for spending THREE firsts on Lance, but even his dumb ass knows you don't mortgage the farm (give up the farm/mortgage the future) for a loser like fatrus when you can get a player like Purdy for very little.
You seen their draft track record under the “General”? Zero chance he would have used those picks wisely. No chance they would have drafted Purdy.

Russell Wilson not beating Mahomes, Allen or Burrow without a loser roster.

That’s the only reason he won anything in the first place in Seattle

Every team, including the 49ers, passed on Purdy multiple times. No one expected him to be any good, which calls NFL evaluations into question.

I do wonder if a team would be better off by drafting multiple QBs every year, given the high value when one pans out.

That roster has legit 5 players that should be there in 2-3 years.
Their draft pick situation the next couple years is far less than ideal
WalRuss is going to severely limit what the team can do in terms of roster construction and improvement
The roster obviously dislikes WalRuss on a personal and professional level.
Multiple recent coaches fired in short order
Owner that is completely clueless to workings of the NFL
Oh absolutely. Only Bronco diehards like Knowmo and Garcia think Denver is a great opportunity. Everyone else in America thinks differently.

Correct. Doesn’t change my primary point which is your GM sucks at drafting.

If winning is a coaches #1 priority, Denver is the last place you go. If you want paid Denver can pay top dollar. A coach can't have both.

That argument doesn't make any sense at all.

Why in the world would ANY team draft a player higher than they have to? We KNOW that the Chiefs LOVED Pacheco and, yet, they didn't draft him in the first. Why? They were confident they could get him late in the draft, just as the Niners were likely pretty confident they could get Purdy late in the draft as well.

Teams need to draft multiple good players every year; not all of those players should be drafted before they were drafted.

To be far the Shannan offense doesn't ask the QB to do too much.
