This is a team that would be lucky to get Bill O'Brien to coach them.

That's the best case scenario.

Oooof

Late Monday afternoon, after news of head coach Nathaniel Hackett’s firing had begun to sink in across the NFL and the dot-connecting to Sean Payton began in earnest, a source close to the former New Orleans Saints head coach posed what appears to be the most pressing question surrounding the Denver Broncos' opening.

“Does Sean want to work with the quarterback?” the source asked rhetorically, referring to Denver centerpiece Russell Wilson. “I don’t know if he would want to go there and then spend all his time fixing someone else’s mistake.”

Bolded so everyone can see that the dream is dead. Enjoy another Vance Joseph/Vic Fangio/Hackett level hire for your trash franchise.

4 months ago Greg Penner admitted he didn’t know much about the NFL. Now he’s leading the HC search?

Oh wait and he’s “relying heavily” on Paton who hired one of the worst HC’s in NFL history.

This is just stupendous for us Chiefs fans. It can’t get any better

Remember when you kept showing random Tweets about Rodgers coming to Denver only for it to not happen? Pepperidge Farms remembers.

The Donks could hire the living equivalents of Vince Lombardi at HC, Don Coryell as OC, and Buddy Ryan as DC and they'd still struggle to achieve a .500 record until Mr. Unlimited Ego is gone and off the books. They had the best defense in the NFL until they got hit with injuries and trades and still couldn't overcome him.

And there's no "fix" for what's wrong with WalRuss. Father Time is undefeated. Could he roll back the clock a couple years if he lost 30 lbs along with his massive ego? Possibly. But all of us except Quesadildo Joe know that there's not a snowball's chance in hell of either of those things happening. Especially the second.

Nothing screams "Please let me keep my job" like saying the team ownership is "Incredible".
