I don’t believe you. They had Stanton at DH and picked up superior players at 1B in Rizzo and Gallo. No way did they want Old Balls when they were working on deals for real guys

His last 9 games: 5-40. Had a negative run value against fastballs, sliders, curves and cutters. Other than that he can really hit. #18/20 qualifiers at LF in FG by War (0.3) Khalil Lee is OPSing 900 as a 23 year old at Mets AAA too. |

Lee has a 39 percent strikeout rate at AAA.
Yeah. You read that right. 85 Ks in 217 ABs… That … will not play. Benintendi has been so up and down. Lots of little nagging injuries. That May and June stretch is exciting … but is that a mirage or is there real reason to believe he can do that over a full season? |

Don’t give two shits whether you believe me or not. It was reported, so it would seem there was some interest at one point. But GMDM didn’t want to deal unless he was ‘overwhelmed’. |

No, it’s 29% K rate. 85 in 293 PA. Also he’s BB 57, or 19.5%. Obv this is only AAA and not comparable, but only 1 MLB hitter had a higher Bb rate (Soto 20.6%) He’s not stealing any bases anymore but really, he’s a guy we could’ve used in CF next year. Quote:
