For how you are saying you use the VW and having carbs I would definitely use something. I have been pleased with this http://www.starbrite.com/item/star-t...oline-additive

Never had much luck with Interstate. Current AC/Delco I have has lasted 6 years in my Blazer and Napa Legend 8 years in my Cutlass. If you've been using lead acid/flooded batteries you might try an AGM/absorbed glass mat battery. I've heard and read online they last longer in extreme heat but they cost like twice as much as a lead acid.

**** me gents. Changed my sister in laws brakes on my dad’s lift. Blinker was out when I picked the car up. Grabbed a pack of lamps. My dad reaches through the fender twists out the socket (it’s not on a harness the socket has power go through it I guess from the housing). My dad says the second lamp falls out. ****. Take the inner fender off look for 20 minutes. Take the bumper cover and belly pan off can’t ****ing find it anywhere. We’re both short fused for stuff like this, getting real pissy in the 98* Oklahoma heat. He sticks his finger in the hole for the missing ones can see his fingers it didn’t go into the housing or anything. Finally after a long look he realized there’s only one bulb. The mirror in the light creates an optical illusion that there’s a smaller egg shaped driving light behind it lol. We both felt stupid but laughed it off with a beer. It took me 3x longer to change this blinker than the front pads and rotors ::

I’d give my left nut and first born for a mint split window vette. Or just my wife for one that’s a builder..

Not gearhead but advice.
I may need new ball joints and do need new tires. I will be getting them done at different places. Since both places will want to do an alignment. What should I do first. the ball joints are covered under warranty and anything else that day will be a deductible of 100.00 (I still may go get lunch) Thoughts? |

I would get the ball joints replaced. Then soon thereafter I'd get new tires and an alignment.

What about these for my 2015 ram? In my pic <-----
Wanted the LT version, not the P version https://www.goodyear.com/en_US/tires...ack=tireFinder It does say not for severe snow. |

I am a fan of the Falken Wildpeak AT3W. They have new AT4W which will replace these when they go. Great in all conditions and you being in MN they have the Three Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol after meeting the industry’s snow traction performance requirements..
