The young guys can play. Old boring vets like O’Hearn and Rooker and Dozier have proven they can’t.
Would be great to see them just commit to the young guys and tell the shitty old vets to take a hike. |

Pratto has had 133 plate appearances and has K'd in 46 of them, for a K rate of 34.6%. His obp is below .300 and his ops is below .800.
Pratto aint gonna make it in the majors even as a poor man's joey gallo (gallo at least had real power). Get well soon Vinnie! |

If he is not a good big leaguer, it’s going to be because he isn’t making enough contact. Even if he’s a quality big league player, he’s still going to K a lot and be more of a 3 true outcomes player 140 plate appearances isn’t enough to tell either way. |

I’d give Pratto 500 PA the next four years without even batting an eye

If ZIPS is to be believed Pratto is a 2.4 war guy next two years with 25 jacks per. He’s versatile. He’s cheap. What’s not to like?
And Dozier is about as bad as ROH anyway. Can’t run can’t field, hitting below league avg. if he can stick forever so can Pratto |

I'd play Pratto as well. He has his talents. I just think Pasquantino is going to become the far better player, and I'm madder than a shedding snake that Pratto was always rated higher.

He was drafted in the 1st round and scouts always rank guys who are athletes better than the non athlete hitters. Pratto is much more athletic than Vinny is, athletes is what gets the Royals in trouble during the draft, they value guys being super athletic over things like hey hit tool.

Pratto is a year younger and versatile. Those things matter in rankings

Pasquantino, meanwhile, played college ball at Old Dominion. Less eyes on him, less hype, lower draft stock, less awareness of the player in general. |

Haven’t followed much lately. Aside from Melendez, Pratto, and Pasquantino, are any of the new guys worth getting excited about?
Seems like there’s a new name every day. |
