We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.

That reads as speculation that Lucas will not be tendered.

That would be pretty surprising given the FA market for safeties right now. And he'd have to friggen love that.

Unfortunately, doesn’t look like we are going to do anything today at least. With Ford, we are stuck from probably doing anything else until something happens and who knows who else will still be out there at that point.

Yeah, I'd be surprised if that report is accurate.

National guys don't know as much about the team as we do. I wouldn't be surprised if he just looked at some teams that made some splash moves, culled their RFAs and thought "hmmm....this looks like a nice piece of shit to throw at the wall..."

I'd be surprised if the Chiefs let it slip that they'd non-tender him so I don't expect an 'inside source' here. And he doesn't know anything more about our team than we do, so I don't think speculation from him is worth much.
