Let's talk about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Super Bowl Edition)

Second straight Super Bowl win incoming.

Time to send old man Brady out to pasture.

Ya I remember grabbing him off the waiver wire and he helping me win my league his rookie yr with his returns lol. I thought that the chiefs should just keep him there and let him be a secondary guy. Part of the reason I wanted OBJ so badly a few yrs ago was that I thought that he as a true #1 and they could use Hill as the other guy. Shows what I knew LOL

I would place him right behind Davante honestly-and only behind him. Faster than Thomas while being younger than Hopkins. Diggs is great but as we just showed he can be stopped with physical man as long as the DBs have speed. Hill's ability to cut makes it hard for a DB to dig in and get a really good hit. They **** that up and he goes over the top.

He imo is the engine of the offense (excluding #15 of course). His ability to hit the big play means that defenses have to account for him every, single play. Hill hitting people above means that Kelce can do work underneath.

The Tampa scheme will have tons of players stacked in the intermediate areas and their lbs are way better than Buffalo.

It's not going to be a shutout for Kelce but I just think this is going to be a Tyreek and CEH game where we hit them hard short a lot and dink and dunk em to death.

When we can get time any of our WRs can be dangerous in the area that will be clear in front of their safeties.

I hope you are right. Without Fisher, and with a patchwork offensive line, we have to make their front four hesitant, because we can't afford for them to pin their ears back and target Mahomes on every play.

I think Andy Reid is going to unveil an exotic screen package that includes double and triple fakes and if we run screens that we have already put to film, I think Reid, EB, and Mahomes are going to switch up the primary receiver.

Like the the double fake TE screen we run for Kelce. The first fake is to Tyreek in the right flat, and then Mahomes spins and fakes a screen to the player on the left, usually a RB, and then spins again and hits Kelce, who is just standing close to his spot at the LOS, ready to gain at least 10 yards.

Only, this week I think we could run this play three times, and hit all three targets. Things like that are going to be crucial to making the Buc's defensive line, and any extra rushers, think and possibly slow down their rush just enough to give Mahomes time to do Mahomes things.

Wiley and Reiter flat out suck, but Mahomes and his mobility and pocket awareness hide a lot of their shortcomings. In fact, Mahomes hides the entire offensive line's shortcomings.

He has improved leaps and bounds in his route running and while he always had the speed and ability to cut and stop on a dime, it's been taken to another level. He didn't even play WR in college and was a ****ing RB for a good amount of the time. Incredible work ethic that gets glossed over all of the time.
You know what the most amazing thing is about Tyreek Hill?

He has a MASSIVE catch radius and he's like 5 feet tall.

He pulls down passes that guys a foot taller than him wouldn't.

I think Hill's development as a receiver, and Hardman's development in just two years, and the overall play of our receivers group, are reasons why Greg Lewis should be getting mentioned more as a possible OC candidate to replace Bienemy, or possibly an OC on a different team.

I have also been here over 20 years.

I was encouraging you to keep posting whatever you wanted. And I was just having a little bit of fun pointing out that so many posters believe that their thoughts, ideas, and takes are always correct because they know more about everything, especially football.

The people who believe they are smarter than everyone else, have a default setting that forces them to ridicule and belittle anyone who shares an opinion that is different from their own.

Hill is hard for me to exactly place in the rankings of WRs because he's just so different from everyone else. If we look at them in terms of traditional WR strengths/weaknesses, footwork, hands, route-running, etc., basically comparing all of them to Jerry Rice for example, then Hill falls short of a guy like Diggs or Hopkins or prime Julio Jones. But if we look at them in terms of how defenses look at them, then Hill rises right to the top, because of his speed/acceleration and quickness and absurd athletic ability, coupled with his great route-running, ball tracking, and ability to defeat various coverages.

So i fall back to "Hill is the most dangerous receiver in the NFL." Which he is.

And fwiw, Diggs ineffectiveness was at least half Allen's fault. Watched a few highlights today, and Allen was late and off-target a lot throwing to Diggs. If that had been a more technically proficient passer, meaning on time and with better ball placement, Diggs stats would've been quite a bit better. But Allen, for whatever reasons, threw a lot of balls late, practically waiting on the defender to get back into position, and put several balls in spots where the defender had almost an even chance of getting his hands on it.

Patrick, on the other hand, usually throws on time with almost machine-like precision and puts the ball in exactly the best spot to keep the defender away from the ball, again with nearly robotic accuracy. In many ways he reminds me of Montana in that regard.

Anyway, Diggs is a great receiver, worthy of every accolade. DHop might be a skosh better. It's pretty hard to pick between them.

Not saying Remmers is on Schwartz's level, but did I read somewhere that he actually ranked higher than Schwartz did last year?

Not sure if it was on here or on Twitter.

Worrying about Tampa is silly.
So a question I've been pondering- did Tampa adjust in the second half of this game in to something that would work in Super Bowl, or was that more about what the Chiefs stopped doing?

I think it was a bit of the first, and more of the second. They arent going to man up Hill again though. Pretty much can count on that!
