Royals do get into the mix. He's 33 and had injuries but when he's pitched he's been a dominant reliever.

Churn and burn with relievers. Anderson was an elite closer before getting hurt. Worth the risk.

Braves have to be up to something. Kyle Wright's only had one great year but he went 21-5 and was their #2 starter in the playoffs. Even if he came back as half that pitcher that's a lot to give up for Jackson Kowar.

An exchange of lotto tickets with big upsides for both orgs. I vastly prefer a high upside return than the return we got for Mondi (though, the time to trade Mondi for a high upside piece was a few years prior.
