I'm curious... how many 'first teams' have not played together through 2 weeks of preseason play?

And what is the record of those teams through the first 5 games.

I'm sure someone here could find out pretty quickly,

I’m asking about this season. I looked through several games and there are not many full first teams playing.

Bills and Chiefs are playing their starters...but that isnt really the point.

Denver is implementing an entirely new system WITH a new QB.

Their starters first actual game action is going to be opening weekend at full speed?

They better hope no one gets injured because their back-up OL ran 22 times for 39 yards...1.8 YPC and generated 0 first downs.

So here is a question...if the Donks have 11 mil in cap...and Wilson wants a new contract, doesn't the guaranteed money get divided up evenly per the number of years?

So if he's wanting a new contract...which will be at least $40-$50 million per....and a fair amount of it is guaranteed, how does that factor in to 2022? Would it be considered an extension that kicks in in 2023?

I'm not sure how that plays out...because if the guaranteed money applies to the duration of the contract, the Donks dont have the 2022 space. They also wouldn't be able to sign anyone during the season because they are broke.

Donks, in a honest world... free of appeasement of billionaire owners and sports betting, are an 8-10 win team tops. They cant afford to drop any games against the soft teams in their opening slew of games.

There were 3-4 teams vying for that last post-season slot...

Broncos fan fiction. I'm sure they have the inside scoop that literally nobody in KC has reported. Guaranteed if there's even an ounce of truth to this, they're taking it out of context, or making it into something it is not.

Denver is competing for .500...not a Superbowl. They aren't in the same discussion as the expectation for KC

This is my point exactly. If I were a fan of the donks, I'd be very concerned that the first real action your starters will get in the new system will be week 1.

Like I said, I think it's a recipe for early season disaster and could put an end to your season even earlier than it has in the past. You're not in the AFC south where you can coast to a division title by being mediocre.

So a Broncos Country ‘podcast’ referencing a ‘private conversation’ that was had is now the expert on Chiefs insider info.? Interesting take.

I mean, I’m not willing to completely dismiss that it’s impossible that ‘some’ players feel like they have ‘arrived’. When you win the division 6 straight years, host the AFC Title Game 4 years in a row and have played in 2 of the last 3 Super Bowls, I’m sure there might be some players feeling their oats a little bit.

That’s the great thing about having one of the best head coaches in the NFL in Andy Reid. He WILL keep the egos in check and make sure the guys stay motivated to achieve. Did they rest on their laurels after the Super Bowl victory? No. They went right back to the Super Bowl the next year.

And then all we heard about was the Super Bowl loss hangover affect and how it kills teams. And then we preceded to go back to the AFC Title game again (for the 4th year in a row) and if not for a completely wretched 2nd half (still don’t understand it to this day), we would have been back in the Super Bowl yet again.

So I think it’s fair to say, at this point, Andy doesn’t have any issues getting his players motivated . . . . .

The Chiefs and Bills playing their starters, but the Broncos with a new staff, QB, etc. aren't?

Who thinks they've "arrived" again?
