Okay, here is a place for the Golfers to talk about tournaments, clubs, swing help or thoughts.

Today is the Players Championship, which I think ought to be the 5th Major. Largest pot in the PGA. The daunting 17th, which seems to bring excitement every year. At least we will get to see Sergio blow up yet again.

I am ready to see some water balls!

I don't know who to root for now.

Tomorrow I play at Osage National in scrambles but it's a business outing. Should be a fun day none the less.

So I played at Osage National in a 4 man scramble. Two of the guys hit shots so sideways it was unreal. Those guys did make a few putts though so....We shot a 64 I drove the ball well and hit several Wedges and 9 irons tight. My putting was OK too. Beautiful course and the greens were nice. Not to fast but consistent.

So just got invited to an annual golf trip with some friends.

This year we're going to Memphis for 4 days. Playing TPC Southwind, Mirimichi (x2) and Spring Creek Ranch.

Should be an awesome weekend.

Anybody play much golf in the St. Louis area. I'm set up to play several courses in that area and just wanted to know if they were as good as they look on the websites.

Here's a list.

Pevely Farms. I'm pretty sure it's awesome.
The Falls GC, Ofallon, MO.
Gateway National GC, Madison Ill. I assume that's just across the river.
Stonewolf GC, Fairview Heights, Ill. See above.
Aberdeen GC, Eureka, MO.

Anybody know anything about these courses.

Pevely Farms is not worth the money, IMO. Condition has gone downhill for a $70 track.

Gateway National, on the other hand is a must play.

The Falls is a waste of your time.

Personally, I'd scrap three of those courses and play Gateway, Aberdeen, Tapawingo, Missouri Bluffs and Annbriar, which is in Waterloo, IL.

Those are the ones on the schedule.http://www.golfweekamateurtour.com/o...es/default.asp

I was just trying to decide if it's worth driving up and staying the night to play these courses. So what's wrong with the Falls?

Not a fan of the layout, the conditioning isn't up to par with other local courses charging similar fees and no practice facility.

I live 40 minutes from there and won't play it - I sure as hell wouldn't drive several hours.
